1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Slottio collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information when you use our WhatsApp-based appointment booking platform. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in accordance with applicable Pakistani law.

2. Information We Collect

From Business Users: We collect your full name, email address, and WhatsApp number when you register an account on Slottio.

From End Customers: We collect your name, WhatsApp number, booking history, and any ratings you submit through the booking flow.

We do not collect payment card information, government ID, or sensitive personal categories such as health or biometric data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to operate and improve the Slottio service, send appointment confirmations and reminders via WhatsApp, allow businesses to manage their customer bookings, and communicate with business users about their accounts. We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

Slottio relies on the following third-party services to function:

  • Twilio: Used to send and receive WhatsApp messages. Your name and WhatsApp number are processed through Twilio's platform for message delivery.
  • Supabase (hosted on AWS): Our primary database. Your data is stored securely on Supabase infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services.
  • Clerk: Handles authentication for business user accounts. Email and login credentials are managed through Clerk.
  • Redis: Used for session storage to maintain active login sessions.

Each of these providers has their own privacy practices and security standards. We select providers who meet reasonable data protection standards.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on cloud infrastructure located outside Pakistan (primarily on AWS servers). We apply reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. However, no system can guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain business account data for as long as your account is active. End customer data, including booking history, is retained to support ongoing service use. If you close your account or request deletion, we will remove your personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we are required to retain it for legal or operational reasons.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at slottio.app@gmail.com.

8. Children's Privacy

Slottio is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly.

9. WhatsApp Communications

By using Slottio as an end customer, you consent to receiving WhatsApp messages related to your appointments. These messages are sent on behalf of the business you are booking with. You may opt out by notifying the business directly or contacting us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves. Significant changes will be communicated to registered business users via email. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
